FAQ: The Climate Collaborative’s Integration into OSC

What’s actually changing?

The Climate Collaborative is integrating into OSC as a new Climate Guild. CC’s core programs—including the Climate Leaders Circle, the Regenerative Transition Community of Practice, and Climate Leaders Awards—will continue through OSC. Courtney Pineau and Jeff Bos are staying on to facilitate the upcoming Regenerative Transition COP cohort, bringing continuity for the community they’ve built.

For the broader industry, bringing culture, packaging, circularity, leadership, and climate under one roof means better outcomes for the planet, and a stronger network for the leaders doing the work. The Climate Guild adds best-in-class climate practitioners alongside OSC’s C-suite leadership network, and members can combine time and investment across adjacent communities with shared values for greater impact and connection.

I’m a member, what does this mean for my OSC membership? 

CEO Chapter

As a Core or Rising Star member, not much will directly change – and the bonus is you can opt in to additional climate programming.  If you were engaged in Climate Collaborative programming alongside your OSC membership, your OSC membership now covers both! 

Community membership

As a Community Member, the good news is your membership now includes Climate Guild programming! We’re building this out together with our community over the balance of 2026, including the Climate Leaders Circle and the Regenerative Transition Community of Practice, which Courtney Pineau will steward alongside Jeff Bos once she’s back from sabbatical.

Partnership

As a Partner Member, not much will change. We’ll be inviting climate-focused leaders and companies to join our CEO Chapters and Community Membership pathways, and your team will have the option to opt into additional climate programming as part of your partnership. 

Women’s Circles

As a Women’s Circle participant, nothing will change—we just wanted to keep you in the loop. If you’ve opted into the bundled membership that includes Community Membership, you’ll now have access to climate programming as part of that. And if you’re currently just part of Women’s Circles and want to add Community Membership to unlock climate and our other guilds, that option is open to you. 

Why now?

The Climate Collaborative has spent nearly a decade building the frameworks, relationships, and momentum that inspired companies across our industry to act on climate. That foundation continues to be strong. What’s shifting is what the industry needs most right now. As we’ve talked with stakeholders about what’s next, one theme consistently emerged: companies focused on climate don’t just want inspiration anymore. They want an ongoing community of trusted peers who can help them continue the work together. OSC is that community, and this integration brings climate into the heart of it.

What happens to Courtney Pineau?

While stepping away from day-to-day leadership, Courtney will continue to support the integration process and key Climate Collaborative programming, including ongoing leadership and facilitation of the Regenerative Transition Community of Practice with Jeff Bos. 

How can I continue to support Climate Collaborative? 

CC program participants are being invited into OSC membership. Climate programming previously available through CC will continue through the Climate Guild. Pricing for Climate Leaders Circle closely aligns with OSC Community membership—most members will actually get much more for the same investment including programming across business growth & capacity, packaging & circularity, inclusive culture, women’s leadership and more. 

Will Climate Day still happen?

The organizations will work through an integration process over the remainder of 2026, with a shared commitment to maintaining continuity for the Climate Collaborative community and its flagship programs. This includes Climate Day at Expo West — a treasured annual event that has become a cornerstone of the industry’s climate leadership. We’re committed to carrying it forward in a way that honors everything the Climate Collaborative has built, while meeting the industry where it is today. We’ve been in early conversations with long-time partner and Climate Collaborative Board Member Julia Collins, founder of Planet FWD and Planet HAUS, about what that looks like together.

How do I continue my climate work through OSC?

We’d love for you to stay engaged through an active OSC membership. There are three pathways to choose from: CEO Chapters, Community Membership, and Partnerships — plus signature convenings throughout the year like Ripple Fest and our Expo West programming. We’d be honored to have you continue this work with us.

What else does OSC offer? 

OSC is a powerful sanctuary for natural products companies, where leaders pressure-test decisions, build stronger companies, and shape what’s next. Beyond CEO Chapters (Core and Rising Star), we offer collaborations like the Packaging Collaborative, JEDI Collaborative, and OSC Women’s Circles. We’ve also just launched the Purpose Pledge, a new partnership with Dr. Bronner’s and LIFT Economy that’s setting a bold new standard for what purpose-driven business commitment looks like. 

What happens to the commitment program and committed company tracking?

The commitment program will continue to be stewarded by the CC Board through the end of 2026, as the integration process continues to unfold. OSC is evaluating how to carry it forward in a meaningful way beyond year end. If you have made a commitment to climate change through the Climate Collaborative’s program, we encourage you to get in touch with us about what that commitment means to you and how we can continue to support you in the important work you’re doing. 

Is this about money? Is CC in financial trouble?

No. The Climate Collaborative has spent nearly a decade doing exactly what it was built to do (inspiring an industry to move from climate ambition to meaningful collective action) and doing it so well that leaders are now craving support for that action. This integration is about finding the organizational home that best serves where the community wants to go next: beyond inspiration, toward a model built around trusted peers who can help each other continue the work. OSC’s 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association model is structured to foster a supportive membership community.

I’m a funder / grantor — what does this mean for my grant?

Grants and contracts remain with CC through the end of 2026. Courtney and the CC Board are personally reaching out to funders. If you haven’t heard directly, contact CC Board Chair, Manuel Gorrin at info@climatecollaborative.com. 

Who is OSC for?

OSC is built for the people driving the natural products industry forward including brand leaders, entrepreneurs, retailers, brokers, and industry nonprofits alike. Most join through CEO Chapters, Community Membership, or as Partners, with retailers, brokers, and B2B suppliers especially encouraged to get involved as Community Members or Partners, depending on what fits best.
