Elk Packaging has formed a sustainable packaging division with longtime colleagues and contributors toOSC, including Jeanne Cloutier, who helped pioneer the Alter Eco compostable package. They are helping us both design structures with film manufacturers and research and report on the impact of these structures on the environment and the products they contain.

NatureFlex™ by Futamura is a sustainable cellulose-based film that offers an environmentally responsible alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastics. Futamura’s films are certified compostable to global standards, are made from GMO-free renewable resources, and provide the barrier protection needed for a variety of food products.
