Member Spotlight: Michelle Pusateri – Founder of Nana Joes Granola

Michelle Pusateri, Founder of Nana Joes Granola and OSC Rising Star Member, takes five to reflect on 5 simple questions. Enjoy!

OSC: What is your hometown?

MP: Dallas, Texas

OSC: What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

MP: I absolutely love to sing and dance. I do it any chance I get around the house while my husband rolls his eyes. 

OSC: What is it about the mission of your company that really ignites you?

MP: To support our community by providing jobs where people can grow and learn so they never have to work another entry level job again. Creating a safe environment for all who walk through our doors by supporting them in all circumstances. 

OSC: What’s a favorite childhood memory of food that you have?

MP: My favorite memory of food was always making Caponata with my dad. He absolutely loved to cook and I miss the times we would cook and totally wreck the kitchen. One time we even found ravioli on the ceiling! No idea how it even could have gotten there. My mom was not impressed. 

OSC: What’s one thing that keeps you up at night?

MP: Cash flow and not being able to support my team and to be able to uplift them without a strong cash infusion but not investment.  How can we make our organic granola more accessible to everyone?  This is definitely a big one for me and an issue I know will be solved with time and purchasing power. Also, product launches keep me up at night! Wondering are people going to like this new creation? How will they respond to something different?
