“5 in 5” with Jessica Rolph of Happy Family

January 21, 2015 by dev_team

OSC2’s newest member, founding partner and COO of Happy Family, Jessica Rolph, takes five to reflect on 5 simple questions. Enjoy!

OSC2: Hometown?
JR:  Minneapolis, MN

OSC2:  What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
JR: I grew up with my grandparents – my mom moved in with her parents after her divorce from my dad.  My grandma Beatrice and I are very close, we used to play duets on the piano and tap our backyard maple tree and make syrup.  Bea is still alive at 98 and is living on her own.  She is a proficient emailer and has a mac laptop!

OSC2:  What is your favorite childhood memory of food?
JR:  Grandma’s special chocolate chip cookies.  I only realized recently they were just the tollhouse recipe on the back of the bag.

OSC2:  One thing about your business/industry that keeps you up at night?
JR:  Our environmental footprint, growing wealth inequity and associated lack of access to high quality, nutritious and inexpensive food.

OSC2: Ice cream, froyo, or gelato?
JR:  Froyo!
